Point #1: Paul was tactful and considerate (Rom 15:14-16)

Let your speech always be with grace (Col 4:6)

Lesson: we need to be tactful and considerate with other people.

Ministers labor, but God who gives the increase (1 Cor 3:4-7)

Lesson: we must give God the credit for every accomplishment

Point #3: Paul was hard working (Rom 15:19b-24)

He was handicapped; he had trouble with his eyes (Gal 4:15, 6:11)

This may explain why Tertius wrote the epistle to the Romans (Rom 16:21-22)

Use your gifts, abilities in serving the Lord (Rom 12:6-8, 11)

Lesson: we must be diligent in using the abilities that God has given us

Point #4: Paul was helpful (Rom 15:25-28)

Paul organized famine relief for the saints in Jerusalem (Gal 2:9-10)

As we have opportunity, do good to all, especially to fellow Christians (Gal 6:9-10)

Lesson: we need to help others when we can

Point #5: Paul was a man of prayer (Rom 15:29-33)

We should pray without ceasing (1 Thes 5:17)

Lesson: we need to strive in prayer for God’s work
